With input from our friends, who are Interior Designers and Architects, as well as consulting with our contractor, our renovation will include the following:

  • Rebuild the upper floor where the non-permitted renovation was structurally impacting the house.
  • Expand the ‘master bedroom’ into the small loft area that overlooks the main room.
  • Enlarge the upstairs bathroom to include a larger walk in shower with a bench and double sinks.
  • Replace and the move the staircase to where the current orange formica breakfast bar is. Pushing the stairwell out 18″ to be in alignment with the eave. The staircase will now have 12 stairs and a landing.
  • Move the kitchen to where the current dining area is. There will be a center island with the sink centered under the window. The refrigerator will be to the right of the sink and the stove will be on the back wall to the left of the sink.
  • Move the bathroom from the main room on the first floor making the main floor open to the kitchen.
  • The bathroom on the main floor will be moved to behind the back wall on the first floor where the kitchen currently is. The bathroom currently has a tub and the new bathroom will be a 1/2 bath or ‘powder room’ (a sink and toilet.)
  • The laundry will be a stacker in the upstair’s guest room closet.
