We’ve spent quite a bit of time searching for lighting and have purchased the following:
Outdoor Lighting
Remcraft’s ‘Retro’ series is period appropriate, streamlined and are available as fluorescent – a requirement for outdoor lighting here in California.
We are using the Single and the Double Classic Bullet for Outside lighting in Bronze.
We will use two Remcraft Up Down Cylinder Lights for the front porch.
Our exterior post light will be Sea Gull Lighting Outdoor Globe from Home Depot.
Main Floor – Indoor Lighting
We purchased two of these Paper Lanterns – a 14″ for the stairwell and a 20″ for the open area in the main room. Available at Pier 1.
The Wood Sconce for the stairwell was custom made for our specs from Idaho Wood. (Contact them and discuss your project and they make to order. They are a small family run business and their pricing is very reasonable).
For the bathrooms and back hallway, we are using simple White Porcelain Bases with 60w Chrome Tip Bulbs.
For the kitchen, we are required (per California building codes) to use either fluorescent or LED lighting. Given that we weren’t excited by the fluorescent options or the color of the light given by fluorescents, we found these Veryon FreeJack LED track lighting pendants that are to code and provide nice lighting.
Upstairs – Indoor Lighting
For the bedroom, and the top of the stairs, we will install Glomar Track Pendants from Home Depot.
For the master bedroom and the guest room, we will install Tolomeo Wall Spot pendants from Design within Reach.
